Education

I graduated from Westmoore Highschool in 1992. It was there I first started studying languages. I was blessed with a natural ability.

I then went to the Community College in Oklahoma City where I continued my studes in language.

Finally, I ended up at Southwestern Assemblies of God University where I studied Cultural Anthopology and missionary work. I was studying to be a missionary.

Career

I started working for Sprint back in 1999. I began working on the phones and quickly, thankfully, worked my way up the ladder there.

I have done everything from taking phone calls, managing escalated issues, and managing my own teams.

Currently I am a Business Analyst. I am responsible for pursuing Causal Factor Analysis and Root Cause Analysis for both Oklahoma City and Tulsa Contact Centers. Sounds fancy but it ends up with me crunching numbers to find out why things are the way they are.

Family/Interests

I am a huge family guy. I love my family so much and actually enjoy getting to be around them. You'll see quite a bit of my them in my work. To me they are beautiful.

I am the middle child of three. My older sister, Kim, and her husband Chuck live in California. Their daughter, my niece, Kelsey is my angel. Don't believe me? Ask her. She'll tell you. She is a very bright little girl whom I love very much. I don't get to see her very often but when I do I treasure every moment.

My younger brother, Todd and his wife Elizabeth live here in OKC. Their son, Keaton, my nephew is the precocious little boy that lights up my life every time I get to see him. I was honored to have him share my middle name; Scott.

Aside from photography I love to travel. I was blessed with an opportunity to go to India for work. As unpopular as outsourcing is it gave me a unique opportunity to see a part of the world I might not have had the chance to see otherwise.  I had just gotten my first semi-professional camera when I went there. Any chance I get to travel I do and my camera is always in tow.

As my job will probably tell you I actually love solving problems. It can really drive me crazy at times but it's very satisfying to find answers.

Photography

I got my first digital camera several years ago. It was a Sony Cybershot 1.3 MP. I laugh at that now as most of our mobile phones out there have cameras with at least that built in them. I had so much fun and got so many compliments about the shots I took with that little camera.

One day I got a nice bonus from work and I just decided then and there to step it up quite a bit. I bought the Canon EOS 300D 6.3MP. WOW! What a difference it made in my work and my love for it. In the year or so that I had this camera I learned so much about photography.

Unfortunately someone decided to help themselve to my equipment. I was robbed and everything I earned was taken from me in an instant. It was a blessing in disguise; well, it's still disguised but I'm sure it's a blessing some how. ; )

I have since gone from a Canon EOS 350D 8.0 MP to the Canon EOS 40D. It is fantastic and I'm still learning everyday with it. I have several lenses that have really helped me express myself even more than before.

I have never studied photography formally. I would really love to study somewhere to really develop the technique of photography. I think I have been blessed with a "good eye" however I know I still lack some of the finer skills involved with the craft. After every shoot I seem to learn something new.
